EEPC INDIA erstwhile known as Engineering Export Promotion Council, was set up in 1955 under the sponsorship of Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India, for export promotion of Engineering Goods, Projects and Services from India. It is the largest and oldest Trade Promotion Organization in India. It has a membership of 14,000 engineering companies representing a wide cross-section of the engineering industry in India. A substantial number of the members belong to the vibrant SME sector, which cater to about 45% of India??s exports of engineering goods. Promoting the ??Made in India?? brand, Organizing Indian Engineering Exhibitions (INDEEs), Seminars and Conferences, Hosting and fielding Trade Delegations and Buyer-Seller meets in India and abroad.
EEPC-India makes suggestions and recommendations on Policy matters to the Government of India for consideration, particularly at the time of framing the Foreign Trade Policy and Union Budget. It act as an interface between exporters and various Government Agencies, Customs, Excise, Reserve Bank of India, Export Credit Guarantee Corporation, Export Import Bank of India, Shipping lines, Freight Forwarders Association in all matters to ensure smooth growth in international trade.
