Even deeper and wider machining with the product innovation GARANT HiPer drill
At the international exhibition for metalworking, the EMO 2013, the Hoffmann Group presents its latest products, projects, and developments in Hall 3, Stand B12. One of the highlights is the new GARANT HiPer (High Performance) drill. Due to its high concentricity the exchangeable head system provides a precise machining performance and both straightness and roundness when drilling steel or stainless materials. Additionally it achieves a very good surface quality. Finely attuned substrates and geometries ensure high feeds and cutting speed.
"We noticed that the machining market requires both wider and deeper exchangeable head drill than up to now", says Borries Schüler, head of the product field "Modular machining" at the Hoffmann Group. "Our new GARANT HiPer drill meets these requirements exactly and can be used for static as well as rotating machining operations." While the Vee insert seating ensures the exact positioning of the cutting tool, the centric bore provides a safe clamping.
Range of wide and deep interchangeable head drills
The HiPer drill is designed for a diameter range from 13 to 32 mm in the length ratios 1,5xD, 3xD, 5xD, and 8xD. A shank support gives stability and safety during operation. Due to the internal coolant supply the chips are reliably evacuated and the cutting edge is cooled down efficiently. The drill comes with a clamping wrench.
