NSK’s miniature, large-lead series of ball screws is designed with small shaft diameter (6 and 8 mm), to reduce the load on motors, and the largest lead of its class (8, 10, 12, and 15 mm). The series achieves rotational speeds up to 5000 rpm, enabling smooth operation and equipment requiring a relatively short stroke to operate at speeds exceeding 1 m/s. It also features a low-profile nut that is claimed to be the smallest on the market. The series can replace linear motors and small air cylinders, due to its high-speed, high-precision, multipoint positioning, and is suited for semiconductor chip mounters and parts-aligning equipment.
